  • Surgeries available at our office surgical suite in Wilmington or the local surgical centers and hospitals. Dr. Pupp and Dr. Bachman are dedicatde staff members of New Hanover Regional Medical Center and Cape Fear Hospital. They also have full privileges with two of our finest outpatient surgical centers, Wilmington SurgCare in Wilmington and Atlantic SurgiCenter in Hampsted.
  • Highly trained and skilled in advanced surgical techniques for corrections of all foot deformities and previous failed surgeries.
  • Promoting advanced wound care with wound vacs, skin grafts and state of the art closure systems.
  • Have a strong team approach of health care with family physicians, endocrinologists, cardiologists, vascular surgeons and infectious disease specialists.
  • We have many on site diagnostic tests available for various conditions. All of our facilities have x-ray capabilities with our physicians providing the interpretation of the x-rays at the time of your visit.
  • Another advanced modality is our ultrasound system, available in the Wilmington location. The physicians utilize state of the art ultrasound for diagnosing various soft tissue injuries and deformities, as well as for ultrasound guided injections.
  • Our medical technicians are trained in the art of wound care and the application of wound vacs. This is an advanced technique used to promote the healing of difficult wounds.
  • The medical technicians are also skilled in the diagnostic recordings of Ankle Brachial Index (ABI's). This is a highly developed method of recording blood pressures and flow of the lower extremities. All of our tests are interpreted by a Board Certified Vascular Surgeon. This service is done on site in our Wilmington office location, with follow up visits for results available in all offices.
  • Shock Wave Therapy, an advanced out patient procedure for the treatment of heel spur syndrome, is available on site in all office locations. Shock Wave Therapy is often done as a non-invasive alternative to surgery and an aide in the conservative treatment of heel spur syndrome and plantar fasciitis.
  • Since we do treat all conditions of the foot and ankle, there are many methods of surgery available, both in patient and out patient. Our surgeons are well trained in advanced implants, plates and fixation methods as well as endoscopic and laser surgery.
  • Our practice is well guided by all state and federal regulations regarding safety, for both the patient and staff, and privacy. We are committed to following all HIPAA regulations and guidelines for the protection of your private information. One step to ensure that HIPAA regulations are adhered to is our updated electronic medical records. We are also routinely inspected for safety by the NC Department of Radiation. Each facility is inspected for exceptional equipment and processing techniques, as well as ensuring radiation exposure safety is in place for the patients and medical staff. We use all safety shields and monitoring devices as recommended by the NC Department of Radiation. All of our instrumentation is done with a sterile technique. All of our instruments and sterilizers are daily and monthly inspected for proper and sterile techniques.
  • Our doctors and staff provide a well rounded approach to foot care and health. Patient education is an important component of your total health care. You will learn about diet, exercise, medications, and proper foot gear.... All as it applies to you as an individual. There are reading materials available in all of the offices for further patient education on the conditions and treatment of your foot ailments.
  • As a part of the complete foot examination, a gait analysis is performed. The complexity of the biomechanics of the foot are discussed with the patient, and if needed, custom molded orthotics, braces, night splints and or special shoes with custom inserts can be prescribed. Many diabetics are in need of extra depth shoes, and with the team approach of the family physician handling the patient's diabetes, these shoes can be prescribed and fitted in our office by our physicians.
